Programmers keep the broadcast live by downloading content and putting it in the queue. After a little in-person training and with a reasonable internet connection, it can be done from anywhere – and it feels good to share the truth. There’s enough flexibility that assignments can be suited to your availability, whether 20 minutes or 2 hours a week – in 20-30 min increments.

Producers keep the station place-based by creating local content – once, once in a while, or once a week… Whether you have your own sound equipment or you want to use the studio or your phone – please get in touch if you have something to share with Fairbanks.  Whether it’s 30 seconds, 60 minutes, or anywhere between, we will get you on the air! (within reason & policy; we reserve the right to refuse objectionable content.)

Tech Support keeps the station alive with broadcast engineering and computer care – there are countless ways for tech savvy folks to help KWRK! As anyone reading this knows, tech support is often critical for sorting out system related mysteries without notice. Redundancy matters and our techie needs a protégé.

Funding keeps the station strong by providing currency for our all-volunteer, commercial free, and seriously shoestring low-power radio and internet broadcast station. Fundraisers can pitch to their friends, make radio testimonies about why it’s important to support us, make tee-shirts, or organize a musical event! Whatever your capacity, we always need money for rent, licensing, and equipment.
